Computers Unleashed Pty Ltd (“Computers Unleashed”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, hold, disclose, and protect personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This policy applies to information collected through our website at unleashed.com.au, our email and phone correspondence, our service engagements, and any other interaction you have with us.
1. What Information We Collect
We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for us to provide our services and run our business. The kinds of information we may collect include:
Contact details — name, email address, phone number, business name, postal or business address, and job title.
Enquiry content — the content of any message, support request, or enquiry you send us, including via our contact form.
Service delivery information — technical details, account details, and operational information necessary to deliver IT services to you or your business (for example, network diagrams, system inventories, and access credentials managed under documented agreements).
Billing and financial information — billing address and payment details where we provide paid services. Card numbers are processed by our PCI-DSS compliant payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
Website usage information — technical data such as IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps. This information is collected automatically and is generally not used to identify you personally.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 15. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us so we can delete it.
2. How We Collect Your Information
We collect personal information directly from you when you:
Submit an enquiry through our website contact form, email, or phone; engage us to provide services; subscribe to our updates or insights; attend an event we run or participate in; or interact with us in the course of an existing client relationship.
Where it is reasonable and practicable, we will collect personal information directly from you. Occasionally, we may collect information from third parties (for example, public business directories, your employer if you are nominated as a contact, or partners with whom we have a referral arrangement). Where we receive unsolicited personal information, we will only retain it if it is information we could otherwise have collected, and otherwise destroy or de-identify it as soon as practicable.
3. Why We Collect and How We Use Your Information
We use personal information for purposes including:
Responding to enquiries and providing quotes; delivering, supporting, and improving our services; managing our client relationships and accounts; sending invoices and processing payments; complying with our legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations; sending you relevant information about our services where you have consented or where you would reasonably expect us to do so; analysing and improving our website and marketing; and protecting our business, our clients, and our staff against fraud, misuse, and security threats.
We will only use your personal information for a purpose other than the one for which it was collected if you have consented, the secondary purpose is related (or directly related, in the case of sensitive information) to the original purpose and you would reasonably expect it, or we are otherwise permitted or required by law.
4. Marketing Communications
We may send you marketing communications about our services where you have provided your contact details and either expressly consented or where it is reasonable to expect this contact (for example, as an existing client). Every marketing email we send includes a clear unsubscribe link. You can also opt out at any time by emailing info@unleashed.com.au.
5. Disclosure of Personal Information
We may disclose your personal information to:
Service providers who help us run our business — including hosting, email, CRM, accounting, ticketing, communications, payment processing, and professional services providers. We require these providers to handle personal information in accordance with this policy and applicable privacy laws.
Our personnel on a need-to-know basis to deliver services and run the business, with appropriate confidentiality obligations.
Government, regulatory, or law enforcement bodies where required or authorised by law, or where reasonably necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of our clients or others.
Business successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, restructure, or sale of all or part of our business.
We do not sell or rent personal information to any third party.
6. Cross-Border Data Flows
Some of the service providers we use may store or process personal information outside Australia — including in countries where major cloud platforms operate. Wherever we engage an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles personal information in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, including through written agreements, security obligations, and (where applicable) reliance on recognised privacy frameworks.
Where we are required by Australian law to keep certain information within Australia (for example, certain regulated client data), we will do so.
7. How We Store and Protect Your Information
We hold personal information in a combination of secure cloud-hosted systems and access-controlled internal systems. We take reasonable steps, appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. These steps include:
Multi-factor authentication for staff access to systems containing personal information; role-based access controls and least-privilege administration; encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest where supported by our platforms; regular patching, vulnerability monitoring, and endpoint protection; staff training on privacy and information security; documented incident response procedures and breach notification readiness; and physical security at our premises.
We retain personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by law. When we no longer need the information, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
8. Cookies and Website Analytics
Our website uses essential cookies and may use analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Analytics cookies do not personally identify you, although they may include identifiers such as IP address.
You can control or refuse cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how the website functions.

These third parties may collect information about you (such as IP address) when you load the page. We do not control these third parties’ data practices, and their use of information is governed by their own privacy policies.
10. Accessing and Correcting Your Information

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time (typically within 30 days). We may need to verify your identity before providing access. We have procedures in place to detect, contain, assess, and respond to data breaches. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm and involves personal information we hold, we will notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and affected individuals as soon as practicable, in line with our obligations under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
